Tactical Night Vision Operators Course

Overview: The Night Vision Operators Course is a 2-day 16-hour course covering the 
essential skills needed to deploy with night vision in a Law Enforcement Tactical Team 
environment. The course covers in depth classroom knowledge of night vision devices, image 
intensifiers, IR laser units, and Law Enforcement use of force guidelines when deploying night 
vision. The live fire range portion will focus on properly zeroing IR lasers, and the essentials of 
shooting with night vision, IR lasers, and transitioning to white light. A full day of practical 
hands on skills stations utilizing UTMs and live role players will reinforce proper night vision 
fundamentals and team movement while operating in no light indoor environments. This 
course will also address how to provide casualty care under night vision.

Cost: $599

Required equipment: LE patrol or tactical gear. Ballistic vest and helmet. Helmet mounted 
night vision device (PVS-14, 15, 31, etc). Rifle with IR laser (PEQ-15, DBAL, etc) and weapons 
mounted white light. 600 rounds of rifle ammunition and 100 rounds of handgun ammunition. 
UTM bolt and 150 rounds of UTM rifle ammunition. Range gear (eye and ear protection, knee 
pads, etc).
